BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – In a press release sent Monday morning, Nick Libous announced he will once again be running for New York State Assembly in the 122nd district.
Libous, the son of late Senator Tom Libous, ran for the seat in 2018 against longtime assemblyman Clifford Crouch. Libous lost to Crouch in the republican primary, but stayed on the ballot on the conservative line. He came up short again in the general election.
In his press release, Libous says it’s time for new leadership in the 122nd district.
“In 2018, Assemblyman Cliff Crouch announced he would not be seeking another term” Libous stated.
Libous says he supports repealing bail reform and the green light law. He says he also wants to ease up on regulations that make things more difficult for local businesses.
The 122nd Assembly district includes residents in Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Otsego County’s.
